A seawater desalination device according to the present invention uses a principle in which a direct electric current 1.5 V is applied as a power source to an electrode of an electrolytic cell so that an electric double layer is produced on the electrode and ions are adsorbed and electrically charged to be condensed. The seawater desalination device comprises: a seawater storing tank for storing seawater and transferring the stored seawater to a treating process; a treated water storing tank in which ions are separated and desalination is performed; a concentrated seawater strong tank in which ions are desorbed and salt ions are concentrated during a treating process; first and second double electrolytic cells in which seawater is desalinated through electric ion adsorption and desorption; a switch for crossing and reusing electric currents of the double electrolytic cells; a wire; and a controller. According to the present invention, electric energy used in the treating process is crossed and reused, and only insufficient loss energy is supplemented, thereby remarkably reducing electricity consumption. |
