Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a novel multi-mode platform architecture with means for reducing the interference due to both out-of-band (OOB) emissions and inter-modulation distortion (IMD) products caused by a first radio access technology (RAT) transmitter on a co-located second RAT receiver. The multi-mode platform architecture may be used in a variety of wireless devices and with a variety of co-located RATs, including, without limitation, WiFi, LTE, WiMAX, WCDMA, Bluetooth, and Zigbee, for example. |

1. A method for reducing interference in a receiver, comprising:
receiving a first signal, wherein the first signal includes a desired signal and an undesired signal that results from an interfering signal being applied to a first path; generating a second signal, wherein generating the second signal comprises applying the interfering signal to a second path; processing the second signal to generate a third signal, including adjusting the second signal based on a difference between a first transfer function of the first path and a second transfer function of the second path; subtracting the third signal from the first signal to reduce the undesired signal in the first signal; collecting measurements and statistics relating to the first signal and the third signal; and multiplying the third signal by a weighted value, to the subtracting the third signal from the first signal, wherein the weighted value is calculated based on the collected measurements and statistics. |
