<p>An aqueous coating composition is provided, comprising a mixture of at least one polysaccharide or a derivative thereof in aqueous solution and a plurality of polysaccharide gel particles, said composition being capable of forming a film when applied onto a substrate. Also provided are methods and uses employing the aqueous coating composition for protecting a substrate from contamination and facilitating removal of contamination therefrom.</p> |
