<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power cable which is reduced in possibility that wires constituting a wire shield layer intrude into an external semiconductor layer even when exposed to a heat cycle and suppressed in occurrence of deviation and buckling of the wires constituting the wire shield layer when the cable is bent and can keep a good electrical contact state between the wires and the external semiconductor layer.SOLUTION: A power cable has a wire shield layer 5 formed by winding a large number of conductive wires spirally around an external semiconductor layer 4 in the circumferential direction with clearances between them and uses a flat wire 5b as the conductive wire, and a longitudinally supporting tape 8 is adhered onto the wire shield layer constituted by the flat wires, in the circumferential direction at intervals. The resultant body is extrusion-coated with resin sheath 7 so that the resin sheath is intruded between flat wires 5b in parts not coated with the tape 8 of the wire shield layer 5.</p> |
