<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a colony counting device for counting the number of colonies derived from microorganisms on the basis of photo image taken with a flatbed scanner in which a reflector is arranged.SOLUTION: The method comprises the following features: a light source, a glass table and a glass covering lid covering the glass table are arranged in this order; microorganism derived colonies are specified based on photo image taken with a flatbed scanner in which a reflector is arranged at the side of the glass table of the glass covering lid; and the specified microorganism derived colonies are counted. Because the colonies may be clearly identified when the image has been taken with the flatbed scanner in which a reflector is arranged. Particularly in a case of air bubble generating colonies, discrimination between medium and air bubble may be clearly made, thus the air bubble generating colonies may be easily identified. Therefore, the microorganism derived colonies may be sensitively counted.</p> |
