<p>The component comprises an adhesion-reducing layer (12) having an adhesion-reducing surface for providing an end top layer. The top layer comprises a metallic matrix in which plastic particles are embedded for forming a part of the surface. The component is made of plastic, and is applied to a starting position (16) for an electroless plating process with a metal. The starting location comprises a matrix of a synthetic resin in which metallic particles are embedded as nuclei for electroless plating. The component is reinforced with fibers, and has a fiber- reinforced core region (13). The component comprises an adhesion-reducing layer (12) having an adhesion-reducing surface for providing an end top layer. The top layer comprises a metallic matrix in which plastic particles are embedded for forming a part of the surface. The component is made of plastic, and is applied to a starting position (16) for an electroless plating process with a metal. The starting location comprises a matrix of a synthetic resin in which metallic particles are embedded as nuclei for electroless plating. The component is reinforced with fibers, has a fiber-reinforced core region (13) and a non-reinforced peripheral region (15), and forms an interface (20) to the adhesion-reducing layer. The synthetic resin is present in amount of 60-85 vol.% in the starting position. The top layer has a thickness of 5-15 mu m. A metallic intermediate layer is provided between the starting position and the top layer. The plastic particles are heat-treated at a surface of the top layer. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a component.</p> |
