PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a daisy-chain communication bus and a protocol.SOLUTION: Some embodiments provide a device including a bidirectional communication bus, a battery section set connected with the bidirectional communication bus, and a battery manager circuit connected with the bidirectional communication bus. Each battery section of the battery section set includes a clock circuit. The battery manager circuit is in communication with the battery section set via the bidirectional communication bus by using a synchronous master-slave communication protocol. Symbols transmitted by the battery manager circuit include their respective timing trigger segments and their respective data segments. Each battery section of the battery section set is configured and arranged so as to adjust a frequency or phase of its clock circuit in the battery section for timing of a timing trigger segment.
