PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system that can efficiently perform monitoring in a shop even when a large number of persons are registered in a registrant list.SOLUTION: A monitoring system stores in advance a registrant list and a monitoring object list, which is a subset of the registrant list, collates a person captured in an image photographed by a first imaging device with the registrant list and collates a person captured in an image photographed by another imaging device with the monitoring object list, so as to reduce a processing load on collation processing and prevent an increase in processing time.
