<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a sawtooth wave, having an amplitude value depending on an input voltage, stably.SOLUTION: A sawtooth wave generator includes a voltage and current conversion unit having a first resistor, and converting an input voltage into an output current depending on the input voltage and the resistance of the first resistor, a comparison current generation unit for generating a comparison current corresponding to the output current, and a first comparison unit for comparing the reference current of a predetermined current value fed from a first current source with the comparison current, and further provided with a compensation unit for compensating the current value of the output current depending on the comparison results from the first comparison unit, and a sawtooth wave generation unit for generating a sawtooth wave voltage corresponding to the input current, depending on the output current thus compensated. A sawtooth wave generation method is also provided.</p> |
