PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange a separation member precisely to a fixing member with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A fixing device 18 according to the present invention includes a fixing member 22, a pressure member 24 that is brought into contact with the fixing member 22 to form a fixing nip 31, a first support member 25 that rotatably supports the fixing member 22, a separation member 27 that separates sheets from the fixing member 22, and a contact/separation mechanism 28 that brings into contact and separates the pressure member 24 with/from the fixing member 22. The separation member 27 is provided movably between a first position to contact the fixing member 22 and a second position to separate from the fixing member 22; when the pressure member 24 is brought into pressure contact with the fixing member 22, the first support member 25 presses the separation member 27 and the separation member 27 moves from the second position to the first position; when the pressure member 24 is separated from the fixing member 22, the pressing of the first support member 25 against the separation member 27 is released and the separation member 27 moves from the first position to the second position. |
