PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generator in which the adsorption capacity of hydrogen sulfide by a hydrogenation desulfurizer is improved.SOLUTION: A burner 2 is installed in a combustion chamber 3, and a packed bed of a reforming catalyst 4, a packed bed of a conversion catalyst 5, and a packed bed of a selective oxydation catalyst 6 are installed from a lower stage side, in the outer periphery of the combustion chamber 3, and further, a packed bed of a hydrogenation catalyst 24, a packed bed of a first adsorbent 25, and a packed bed of a second adsorbent 27 are provided in the outer periphery. A hydrogenation raw material gas is supplied into the packed bed of the hydrogenation catalyst 24, and is allowed to pass through the packed bed of the first adsorbent 25, the packed bed of the second adsorbent 27, the packed bed of the reforming catalyst 4, the packed bed of the conversion catalyst 5, and the packed bed of the selective oxydation catalyst 6. At least a portion of the packed bed of the first adsorbent 25 is arranged adjacently to a gas flow passage which leads to the packed bed of the conversion catalyst 5 from the packed bed of the reforming catalyst 4, and the packed bed of the second adsorbent 27 is arranged in the outer periphery of the packed bed of the conversion catalyst 5. |
