PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a binder resin composition for secondary battery electrodes which enables the formation of an electrode superior in flexibility, and the production of a battery superior in battery characteristics, especially long-term cycle characteristics, and which has a superior binding property; a slurry composition for secondary battery electrodes; an electrode for secondary batteries; and a lithium ion secondary battery including such electrode.SOLUTION: A binder resin composition for secondary battery electrodes according to the present invention comprises: a polymer (A) having a structural unit expressed by the general formula (1); and a polyhydric alcohol (B). A slurry for secondary battery electrodes according to the present invention comprises: the binder resin composition for secondary battery electrodes; an active material; and a solvent. An electrode for secondary batteries according to the present invention comprises: a collector; and an electrode layer provided on the collector. The electrode layer includes: the active material; and the binder resin composition for secondary battery electrodes.
