<p>Disclosed are an electronic device for controlling the treatment and display of an image photographed by a camera and a method for operating the same. A mobile electronic device according to the present invention has a standby mode between a preview mode and a power-saving mode when the camera is operated, so that the consumption of an electric current can be reduced and a user can quickly and conveniently return to the preview mode. A method for operating a mobile electronic device that processes data generated from the camera into a preview image and displays the preview image by using the camera according to the present invention may comprise the steps in which: a sensor unit senses an invent value; the sensor unit transmits the event value to a main processor; the main processor determines whether a conversion from the preview mode to the standby mode is needed based on the event value; an image processor is inactivated when the main processor needs to be converted from the preview mode to a standby mode; and the main processor controls a displaying controller so as to display a standby image on a displaying unit.</p> |
