METHOD OF DETERMINING TYPE AND CONCENTRATION OF NANOPARTICLES INORGANIC AMORPHOUS MEDIA AND POLYMER-BASED COMPOSITES

FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: method includes creating a measurement cell which consists of two injection layers of conducting material and a layer of the investigated material in between; placing the measurement cell in a low-temperature medium, wherein background currents reach their minimum value and have no significant effect on the measurement result; connecting the measurement cell to a circuit and recording the voltage versus current curve, from which resonance potential values and corresponding resonance current values are determined; the obtained resonance potential values are compared with the database of resonance potential values of known nanoparticles and the nanoparticles in the investigated material are identified; preparing a reference sample of material with low concentration of the identified nanoparticles; forming a measurement cell consisting of two injection layers of conducting material and the reference material in between; placing the obtained reference measurement cell in a low-temperature medium and connecting to a circuit; recording the voltage versus current curve, from which resonance potential values and corresponding resonance current values are determined; calculating concentration of nanoparticles in the investigated sample based on the obtained values of resonance currents in the investigated and reference samples, as well as the known concentration value in the reference sample.EFFECT: high accuracy of determining concentration of nanoparticles in amorphous media of any nature by reducing the effect of background currents on measurement results.
