PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel organometallic compound, a novel catalyst containing the organometallic compound having excellent functional group selectivity to produce an amine compound by a reductive amination reaction or a hydrogenation reaction of an imine or an iminium ion, and a novel method for producing an amine compound using the catalyst.SOLUTION: Provided is an organometallic compound represented by the following general formula (1).
