PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can prevent an incorrect operation by a user to suppress damage to image holding bodies and/or a belt member.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a housing; an image forming unit that supports image holding bodies on which toner images are formed and is withdrawably accommodated in the housing; and a belt unit that supports a belt member performing image formation while in contact with the image holding bodies with a pair of support members, brings into contact or separates the belt member with/from the image holding bodies through the operation of a handle operation part, and is withdrawably accommodated in the housing, where the handle operation part can be operated when both the image forming unit and the belt unit are accommodated at predetermined positions in the housing. |
