PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared detector improving an S/N ratio.SOLUTION: An infrared detector 2 comprises: an infrared detection element 20a in which a first pyroelectric element 22 for light reception and a second pyroelectric element 23 for temperature compensation are formed side by side on one pyroelectric substrate 21; and a package 29 storing therein the infrared detection element 20a. The first pyroelectric element 22 and the second pyroelectric element 23 of the infrared detection element 20a are connected in reverse series. The package 29 comprises: a pedestal 29a; a cap 29b; a window hole 29c formed on a top plate part 29ba of the cap 29b; a window material 29w arranged so as to close the window hole 29c from an inside of the cap 29b, and capable of transmitting infrared therethrough; and a resin layer 33 formed on a lower surface 29bd of the top plate part 29ba closer to the infrared detection element 20a. The resin layer 33 is formed covering the whole area of the lower surface 29bd, which is not overlapped with the window material 29w. |
