PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission/reception module capable of identifying the operational state of an LD while suppressing an increase of cost.SOLUTION: An optical transmission/reception module 1 includes an optical transmission section 11. The optical transmission section 11 includes a laser diode 22, an optical detector A1 and a controller A2. The optical detector A1 receives signal light L1 from the laser diode 22, and output information D to the controller A2, the information indicating the intensity of the signal light L1 for each wavelength. The controller A2 acquires an optical spectrum of the laser diode 22 on the basis of the input information D. The optical spectrum indicates an intensity corresponding to a wavelength of the signal light L1. The controller A2 determines that the laser diode 22 is in which state among a normal state and a plurality of operational states having been preliminary set, by comparing the acquired optical spectrum with a reference spectrum. |
