PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust image quality of an image close to designated quality in emphasizing a specific component having an influence on image quality of the image.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 10 includes: a prediction reproduction unit 11 which generates a prediction reproduction image by image emphasis from an original image, on the basis of a reproduction parameter with an image quality prediction parameter value set thereto; an image quality quantity calculation unit 12a which calculates image quality quantity of the prediction reproduction image; an image quality quantity calculation unit 12b which calculates image quality quantity of the original image; an image quality characteristics prediction unit 13 which predicts image quality characteristics formed by associating the prediction parameter with the image quality quantity, on the basis of the image quality quantity and image prediction parameter value; an image quality control parameter calculation unit 14 which calculates an image quality control parameter value to be set to the prediction parameter so as to adjust the image quality quantity of the prediction image to a designated image quality quantity, on the basis of the image quality characteristics; and an image reproduction unit 15 which generates a reproduction image by image emphasis from the original image, on the basis of the reproduction parameter with the image quality control parameter value set thereto. |
