PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control device that, in an input processing circuit of the electronic control device which can vary a resistance value of a pull-up/pull-down resistor, can diagnose whether the resistance value of the pull-up/pull-down resistor is a set value.SOLUTION: The electronic control device including the input processing circuit capable of arbitrarily connecting a pull-up resistor, a pull-down resistor or both to an external input signal and capable of arbitrarily setting a resistance value of the pull-up resistor or pull-down resistor connected is provided with means for diagnosing whether the resistance value of the pull-up resistor or pull-down resistor is within an expected range. The pull-down resistor is connected to the pull-up resistor in the case of diagnosing the resistance value of the pull-up resistor or the pull-up resistor is connected to the pull-down resistor in the case of diagnosing the resistance value of the pull-down resistor, and the resistance value is diagnosed on the basis of a voltage divided by both of them.
