PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Compton camera capable of reducing noise.SOLUTION: A Compton camera 1 comprises a scattering detector 10, an absorption detector 20, a signal processor 30, a first shield 41 and a second shield 42. When receiving a radiation emitted from a radiation source 90, the scattering detector 10 detects Compton scattering of the received radiation. When receiving the radiation after the Compton scattering in the scattering detector 10, the absorption detector 20 detects absorption of the received radiation. The signal processor 30 obtains an image of the radiation source 90 on the basis of an event of simultaneously detecting the Compton scattering of the radiation in the scattering detector 10 and the absorption of the radiation in the absorption detector 20. The first shield 41 and the second shield 42 are provided between the scattering detector 10 and the absorption detector 20. The first shield 41 selectively allows a forward-scattered radiation to pass through and selectively shields a backscattered radiation. |
