PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device and an image forming apparatus that can easily remove a recording medium at paper jam while improving supply efficiency of heat to a recording medium.SOLUTION: A fixing device includes: a heating rotating body; a pressure rotating body that includes an endless belt having the outer peripheral surface arranged opposite to the heating rotating body, a first pressure member arranged on the inner peripheral surface side of the endless belt and pressing the outer peripheral surface of the endless belt against the heating rotating body to form a fixing nip part between the endless belt and the heating rotating body, and a second pressure member pressing the endless belt toward the heating rotating body on the upstream side in the conveyance direction of a recording medium with respect to the fixing nip part on the inner peripheral surface side of the endless belt so as to guide the recording medium to be in contact with the heating rotating body on the upstream side in the conveyance direction of the recording medium with respect to the fixing nip part; and releasing means for releasing the pressure contact of the pressure rotating body in pressure contact with the heating rotating body. When the pressure contact of the pressure rotating body is released by the releasing means, the second pressure member is supported movably in a direction reverse to a direction to press the heating rotating body. |
