<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door mirror device for automobile which can prevent freezing of water entered into a clearance between a base and a housing.SOLUTION: A door mirror device for automobile includes a base 11 provided on a side face of the automobile, a shaft 12 provided upright on the base 11, and a housing 14 which is rotatably attached to the shaft 12 and in which a rear-view mirror is provided, in which a clearance S for avoidance of contact of the housing 14 with the base 11 during rotation of the housing 14 is provided between the base 11 and the housing 14. The clearance S is so formed that a front and a rear part are narrow and a central part is wide along a vehicle body longitudinal direction, a lower part of the clearance S is opened, and a width of the clearance at the central part thereof is set to a degree such that entered water remains in the clearance by a surface tension.</p> |
