The invention relates to a method for producing structured surfaces by means of the controlled formation of creases of variable dimensions. The method is based on light irradiation and simultaneous heating of a photosensitive solution. The surface structures are created in a few minutes. Furthermore, this method allows the incorporation of separate functional monomers and copolymers and/or loads as additives in the initial mixture, that can provide the surface with functionality without requiring additional functionalisation steps.
