摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of light utilization in a light guide body and a reflection member, raise the efficiency of light condensation on a document surface, and secure an illumination area in a sub-scanning direction in which the amount of light is stable even when a document reading position varies.SOLUTION: Provided is a lighting apparatus for an image reading device comprising: a light source; a light guide body for guiding a beam emitted from the light source and equipped with a first emission surface from which part of the incident beam is emitted and a second emission surface from which part of the incident beam is emitted; and a reflection prism equipped with an incidence surface on which the beam emitted from the second emission surface is incident and an emission surface from which the incident beam is emitted. The light guide body and the reflection prism are arranged so as to hold a read optical axis in between so that a document surface is illuminated from both sides across the read optical axis of the document by the beam emitted from the first emission surface of the light guide body and the beam emitted from the emission surface of the reflection prism.</p>
