PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the utilization efficiency of an optical transmission path (30) in a base station system in which the optical transmission path (30) connects a BBU (10) and a RAU (20).SOLUTION: In a communication control method of the present invention, a BBU (10) transmits a frequency domain signal the amount of which varies according to the amount of an input signal and vacant resource information indicating radio resources to which user data is not allocated to a RAU (20). The RAU (20) converts the frequency domain signal into a time domain signal in which the amount of the signal does not vary according to the amount of an input signal on the basis of the vacant resource information, and transmits the time domain signal to a user terminal.
