PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing silicone rubber sponge, enabling silicone rubber sponge having fine cells to be produced, and a method of manufacturing a silicone foamed roller, enabling a silicone foamed roller with the silicone rubber sponge to be manufactured.SOLUTION: In one embodiment, the method of producing silicone rubber sponge is provided which includes: a step of preparing a mixture by mixing a liquid silicone rubber composition, 50-200 pts.mass of water-soluble particles, and a 0.1-5 pts.mass of water to 100 pts.mass of a silicone rubber constituent; a step of molding the mixture; a step of curing a molded body; and a step of eluting the water-soluble particles by immersing a cured body in water. In another embodiment, the method of producing silicone rubber sponge is provided in which the above step of molding the mixture is a step of molding the mixture into a cylinder. The method of manufacturing a silicone foamed roller is also provided which include a step of inserting a shaft body into a shaft hole of a porous molded body obtained by the above step of eluting the water-soluble particles. |
