PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection circuit capable of preventing the short circuit of upper and lower arm switching elements, without influencing a dead time of an on/off command signal output from a control circuit.SOLUTION: A simultaneous ON protection circuit 616U is connected to gate drive circuits 610U, 611U for driving IGBT 328U, 330U of the inverter circuit, to protect the IGBT 328U, 330U from a short circuit. When an upper arm control signal to the IGBT 328U is an ON command, the simultaneous ON protection circuit 616U outputs to the gate drive circuit 610U a signal to forcibly switch off the IGBT 328U. When a lower arm control signal to the IGBT 330U is an ON command, the simultaneous ON protection circuit 616U outputs to the gate drive circuit 611U a signal to forcibly switch off the IGBT 330U. |
