PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such the conventional problem that latest information on a point around a route from a present position to a destination cannot be provided to a user.SOLUTION: Latest information on a point around a route from a present position to a destination can be provided to a user by an information system that includes: a navigation device for transmitting route-related information being information on the route from the present position to the destination to a server device and receiving, from the server device, the information related to the point around the route from the present position to the destination in accordance with the transmission; and the server device for obtaining information on a point around a route determined by route information in accordance with reception of the route-related information and transmitting the obtained information related to the point to the navigation device.
