The image forming device comprises: a primary transfer unit configured to transfer the visible image from the surface of the latent image bearing element to the intermediate transfer element; the unit of removal of toner from the latent image bearing element, configured for removal by means of squeegee of the latent image bearing element of the toner remaining on the surface of the latent image bearing element after transferring the visible image by the primary transfer unit; a secondary transfer unit configured to transfer the transferred visible image from the intermediate transfer image to the recording medium; and the unit of removal of toner from the intermediate transfer element, configured to remove by means of the squeegee of the intermediate transfer element the toner remaining on the surface of the intermediate transfer element after transfer of the transferred image by the secondary transfer unit.
