PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that enables an interactive operation using external portable information devices through short-range radio communication.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: a short-range communication part which performs short-range radio communication with a portable information processing device having a display part; a recognition part which recognizes the portable information processing device within a communicable range by communication via the short-range communication part; a job setting part which transmits data for displaying a job setting screen at the display part of the recognized portable information processing device through the short-range communication part; and a job control part which executes a job in response to a start instruction for the job. The job setting part receives job settings from the portable information processing device by receiving job settings using the job setting screen through the short-range communication part after the recognition is performed, and the job control part receives the start instruction for the job whose job setting has been received. |
