PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to stably determine a tensile force between rolling stands based on a motor current of a motor which drives the rolling stands for rolling a rolled material, in bar steel rolling.SOLUTION: A method for estimation of a stand tension in bar steel rolling, in which when bar steel rolling is performed by a rolling mill having plural rolling stands driven by a motor while measuring a tensile force between rolling stands, a low path filter treatment is carried out with respect to a motor current of the rolling stands, a differential current, which is an amount of change of a current value after said low path filter treatment, is determined, and a tensile force between the rolling stands is determined by use of the determined differential current and a rolling model. |
