PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visible light communication device capable of preventing reduction in the degree of modulation at a time of light adjustment of a light-emitting element.SOLUTION: A visible light communication device comprises a constant current circuit 12, a load circuit 3, a load variation circuit 4, and a switching element Q1. The load circuit 3 includes a light-emitting diode 31 connected with an output of the constant current circuit 12. The load variation circuit 4 partially changes a load characteristic of the load circuit 3 by being added to the load circuit 3. The switching element Q1 switches whether or not the load variation circuit 4 will be added to the load circuit 3 depending on a binary communication signal. The load variation circuit 4 includes a series circuit of a resistor R1 and a diode D1 connected in series with the light-emitting diode 31. A resistance value r1 of the resistor R1 is larger than a resistance value rd1 of equivalent resistance Rd1 of the diode D1.
