摘要 <p>In the present invention, disclosed is a dark current monitoring method for a hybrid electric vehicle, providing a message output and charging automatically by monitoring a dark current of an auxiliary battery when a certain time has elapsed after ignition-off. The present invention comprises the steps of: determining whether ignition-off is detected; waiting a lapse of a predetermined certain time as a timer counter is started wherein the ignition-off is detected; determining whether an amount of consumption current of the auxiliary battery to have been measured exceeds a predetermined amount of reference current when the timer counter exceeds the predetermined certain time; and outputting a warning message after determining the dark current is excessively generated by electronic units when an amount of consumption current of the auxiliary battery exceeds a predetermined amount of reference current.</p>
