PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of suppressing leak light of backlight light and improving display quality.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device in which respective colors of pixels are periodically arranged, comprises: a source wiring 2 connected to a source electrode 10 of each pixel; a TFT substrate 3 having light block electrodes 1a, 1b extending along both sides of the source wiring 2; and a color filter substrate 4 having a color filter on which color materials of the respective colors corresponding to the respective pixels are periodically arranged. A liquid crystal 15 is held between the TFT substrate 3 and the color filter substrate 4, on a surface of the color filter substrate 4 on the liquid crystal 15 side, a metal light block layer 5a which overlaps the source wiring 2 and the light block electrodes 1a, 1b in plan view is formed. On a surface of the metal light block layer 5a, a reflectance absorption color material formed of color materials of one or more color, is disposed. |
