Disclosed are an optical lens module assembling apparatus and a controlling method thereof which controls a pressure applied when a lens or an optical component are assembled to a barrel to have a constant pressure in order to reduce assembly defects. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the optical lens module assembling apparatus includes pickup units (500, 600) picking up the lens (33) and the optical component (50) inserted by motor driving into the barrel (43). The optical lens module assembling apparatus includes: a calculation unit (4) generating a first motor control value pertaining to a set pressure value inputted by a user; a motor driver (6) applying a first driving signal to a motor in accordance to the first motor control value; and a pressure measurement means (1) measuring a pressure applied by the pickup units by the motor driving in accordance to the first driving signal. The calculation unit (4) applies a second motor control value compensating the first motor control value to the motor driver based on a proportion of a pressure measurement value by the pressure measurement means and the set pressure value. |
