A feces sampling container comprising: a lid (2) having a feces sampling rod (2b) and having an annular protrusion (2f) formed along the circumferential direction of the inner peripheral surface of a lid section (2a); a cylindrical container main body (3) having an open base end side; and a stopper (4) attached inside the container main body (3) and having formed therein a leveling section (4b) and an annular protrusion (4g) along the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface. A flange section (3c) is formed along the edge of the open end on the base end side of the container main body (3); an overhanging section (4d) is formed at a position overlapping the flange section (3c) along the circumferential direction at a prescribed position on the outer peripheral surface of the stopper (4); separation mechanisms (2e, 4f) are formed at a lower end section of the lid section (2a) and upon the inner circumference of the overhanging section (4d) of the stopper (4); and cam mechanisms (2h, 4h) that position the separation mechanisms are formed above the annular protrusions (2f, 4g) on the inner peripheral surface of the lid section (2a) and the outer peripheral surface of the stopper (4), respectively. As a result, the lid having the feces sampling rod is easily removed from the stopper and the lid can be easily and reliably fitted to the stopper after the feces sampling rod is inserted inside the stopper, in the feces sampling container having attached therein the lid having the feces sampling rod and the stopper to/from which the lid can be attached and removed and which has the leveling section formed therein.
