PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can suppress deterioration of a transfer member due to discharge from a power supply member.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes a transfer member 15 that has a conductive core shaft and an ion conductive foam wound around the core shaft and transfers toner images onto recording media, and a power supply member 16 that is in contact with the transfer member 15 and supplies a transfer current to the transfer member 15, where the difference between the volume resistance value of the transfer member 15 and the volume resistance value of the power supply member 16 is 1.0 log&OHgr; cm or less. |
