PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-area and low-cost information processing apparatus configured to improve processing continuity, to ensure real-time property of fault detection result output processing, and to prevent illegal output of a fault determination signal.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus having a fail-safe function includes: an arithmetic processing unit having a fault detection function; an address storage section which stores an address range of a program to be subjected to fault detection or a program out of the fault detection; a monitoring determination section which monitors a program to be executed by the arithmetic processing unit to determine whether the program to be executed is a program located in the address range stored in the address storage section; and an output control section which controls whether to output a result detected by the arithmetic processing unit, on the basis of a result of program determination in the monitoring determination section. |
