<p>A tooth element metal wire feeding apparatus for a fastener stringer continuous manufacturing machine, the feeding apparatus being capable of feeding exactly a prescribed amount of a tooth element metal wire without a ratchet wheel overrunning when a main shaft rotates at a high speed, a ratchet pawl moves reciprocally at a high speed, and the ratchet wheel rotates intermittently at a high speed. A ratchet pawl (15) moves reciprocally along with a cam-follower mechanism (16) by means of the rotation of a cam (31) that is provided to a main shaft (30), and as a result, a ratchet wheel (14) rotates intermittently, a wire feeding roller (11) rotates intermittently, and a tooth element metal wire (W) is intermittently fed. The feeding apparatus is provided with a brake mechanism (40) that imparts rotational resistance to the ratchet wheel (14) such that overrun of the ratchet wheel (14) can be prevented when the ratchet pawl (15) makes high-speed reciprocal movement.</p> |
