PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording medium that is excellent in recorded color development properties and recorded image quality and is excellent in recording performance after long-term storage after it is processed into a thermosensitive recording label.SOLUTION: In a thermosensitive recording medium having an undercoat layer containing a pigment and a binder on a paper substrate and a thermosensitive recording layer containing a leuco dye and a coloring agent on the undercoat layer, at least one kind selected from an ammonium salt of a styrene/maleic anhydride copolymer and an ammonium salt of a styrene/acrylic acid copolymer as a binder contained in the undercoat layer is contained in the range of not less than 0.5 pt.mass to less than 5 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the pigment contained in the undercoat layer. |
