PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus allowing easy acquisition of a puncture target and a puncture start position or a puncture path in time of treatment.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus is used for interventional MRI accompanied by operation of a device inserted into a subject and has imaging means, planning means, and output means. The imaging means performs MR imaging of the subject placed on a bed to obtain an image of the subject. The planning means draws up a plan related to the operation of the device by use of the image of the subject while holding a state of the subject placed on the bed for the MR imaging. The output means visibly outputs the plan drawn up by the planning means to an operator of the interventional MRI when executing the international MRI to the subject placed on the bed.
