<p>The present invention relates to a field assembly type optical connector which connects optical fibers to each other only using an optical connector even without a separate assembly jig in a field, thereby providing a stable coupling force to an optical fiber. The field assembly type optical connector according to the present invention comprises a connector body and a splice unit. The connector body has a hollow part penetrating both sides, and an opening which has an upper portion into which a cover is inserted or from which the cover is separated and a lower portion having a push button integrally formed therewith to be movable into the hollow part. Further, the splice unit comprises a splice member installed while being inserted into the hollow part of the connector body, and a cover detachably coupled to the splice member through the opening of the connector body. The push button upwardly pushes the cover coupled to the splice member to space the cover apart from the splice member.</p> |
