The purpose of the present invention is to make the noise of motion of an opening and closing valve, such as a solenoid valve, less noticeable to the vehicle driver or passenger, in a drive power distribution device provided with a hydraulic control device of sealed hydraulic design. Provided is a drive power distribution device constituted such that, after closing a solenoid valve (43) and driving an oil pump (35) has caused the hydraulic pressure detected by a hydraulic pressure sensor (45) to reach a target hydraulic pressure, driving of the oil pump (35) is halted, whereby during the interval until the solenoid valve (43) opens, engagement force of a hydraulic clutch (10) is maintained by the hydraulic pressure of working oil sealed in an oil passage (49), wherein the solenoid valve (43) is closed when the hydraulic pressure (P) detected by the hydraulic pressure sensor (45) is at or below a predetermined threshold value (P1), and the vehicle speed (V) detected by a vehicle speed sensor (S8) is at or below a predetermined vehicle speed (V1). In so doing, synchronization of accelerator manipulation by the driver and the motion of closing the solenoid valve (43) can be prevented. |
