PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely discharge electrical charges stored in smoothing capacitors even when an exclusive discharge circuit is malfunctioned.SOLUTION: A motor car power conversion system for power 100 includes an exclusive discharge circuit 12 for discharging electrical charges stored in smoothing capacitors 9, 33. A control circuit 11 for controlling the motor car power conversion system for power 100 includes a discharge control section 111 which, when detecting a malfunction in the exclusive discharge circuit 12, concurrently turns on an upper arm 31a and a lower arm 31b of a booster circuit 3 or an upper arm 41a and a lower arm 41b of an inverter circuit 4 and discharges electrical charges stored in the smoothing capacitors 9, 33, using parasitic resistance components of the upper arm 31a and the lower arm 31b, or the upper arm 41a and the lower arm 41b. |
