<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress dimethyl silicone oil from infiltrating into a recording medium.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an application unit that applies a liquid having a boiling point lower than that of dimethyl silicone oil on a recording medium; an image forming unit that forms an image on the recording material having the liquid applied thereon by using a developer containing dimethyl silicone oil and toner; a heating unit that heats the recording medium having the image formed thereon to evaporate the liquid; and a fixing unit that fixes the image formed on the recording medium by the image forming unit on the recording medium heated by the heating unit.</p> |
