<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal slit material and a horizontal slit structure, in which an outdoor side slit material can be connected easily and accurately with an indoor side slit material in a regular positional relationship, thereby the original function of the horizontal slit material can be exhibited, and an entry of rain water from outdoor to indoor can be reliably prevented.SOLUTION: A horizontal slit material 4 is constituted of an outdoor side slit material 5 and an indoor side slit material 6. A corner 5a forming a shape of a right-angle cross section is recessed in the indoor side corner of the upper surface of the outdoor side slit material 5, and an outdoor side corner 6b of the lower surface of the indoor side slit material 6 is fitted and connected in this corner 5a. A bottom face of a horizontal slit 3 is formed in a stepped shape comprising a low layered plane 3a of the outdoor side and a high layered plane 3b of the indoor side. All area of the outdoor side slit material 5 and an area of the indoor side slit material 6 connected to the corner 5a of the outdoor side slit material 5 are disposed on the low layered plane 3a in the horizontal slit 3 in the indoor and outdoor directions.
