摘要 An object of the present technology is to provide a liquid crystal display device that includes a capacitance coupling type input device capable of easily being incorporated into the display device. The liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel and an input device. The liquid crystal panel includes: a TFT substrate having a plurality of pixel electrodes and a common electrode provided so as to be opposed to the pixel electrodes, and further includes a switching element for controlling application of a voltage to the pixel electrodes; and a counter substrate arranged so as to be opposed to the TFT substrate, and having a configuration in which color filters of at least three primary colors are arranged at positions corresponding to the pixel electrodes and a light-shielding portion is arranged between the color filters. The input device includes: a detection electrode arranged in the liquid crystal panel; and a driving electrode arranged so as to cross the detection electrode, wherein a capacitive element is formed between the detection electrode and the driving electrode. The detection electrode is set at the same potential as that applied to the common electrode of the liquid crystal panel.
