Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for encoding/decoding a multilayer video. The method for decoding a multilayer video comprises the steps of: obtaining, from a bitstream, interlayer prediction permission information; obtaining, from the bitstream, single layer usage information, when the interlayer prediction permission information indicates that interlayer prediction can be used; determining a maximum of only one layer as a reference layer from at least one layer referenced by a current picture, when the single layer usage information indicates that a maximum of one picture is used for interlayer prediction; and performing interlayer prediction of the current picture by using a picture which belongs to the reference layer.
