A remote control device (1) according the present invention is provided with: an operating unit (2) for switching between and setting running modes of an apparatus that performs a heating action and/or a cooling action; a display unit (3) that displays a screen on which the operation of the operating unit (2) is reflected; and a control unit (4) that controls the display action of the display unit (3). The control unit (4) displays, on the display unit (3), the types and ranges of the running modes that can be switched between and set by the operating unit (2).
